Low-Temperature Dielectric Spectrometer
     By using a cell mounted on the cold head of a close cycle refrigerator, this spectrometer allows to extend the temperature range down to 10 K maintaining both a broad frequency range and a  high accuracy. (see an example below)

INSTRUMENT CHARACTERISTICS

Impedance Analyzer: Solartron-Schlumberger SI1260 + Mestec dielectric module DM1370

  • Frequency range: 1e-2 - 1e6 Hz

  • Sensitivity better than tan(delta) ~1e-4


Temperature Control: Clod head closed cycle He-refrigerator CTI-Cryogenics

  • Temperature range: 10 - 320 K

  • Temperature stability better than ± 0.1 K


Samples: Solids and viscous liquids

  • A parallel plate capacitor of about 20 mm diameter and 0.1 mm thickens, formed with the sample by using two gold-plated electrodes  is located on the coldhead of the cryosystem.
