Distributed Systems Group

The University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU)

Teleseminar (University of Mannheim - UPV/EHU)

A Teleseminar is a joint seminar by two partner universities. The idea is that students from both universities jointly cooperate in small seminar projects and by doing that practice cooperation over long distances (and learn how to use the tools for that and do that efficiently).

The plan is as follows: A set of students registers for the seminar and select a topic from a certain set of projects/seminar topics. The German group flies to Donostia for a couple of days at the beginning to initiate the cooperation: Joint Basque/German student groups are established for the topics (e.g., 2 students per topic) and they plan their cooperation. After the German group returns, the students work on their topics and cooperate remotely. At the end of the semester the Basque group comes to Germany for final discussions and project presentations.

More detailed information can be found here.
