Las funciones de Airy
La función de Airy, Ai(x) y la función relacionada Bi(x) son soluciones linealmente independientes de la ecuación diferencial
Reprentamos las funciones de Airy, Ai(x) y Bi(x)
- La función Ai(x) se obtiene, llamando a la función MATLAB,
airy(0,x) oairy(x) - La función Bi(x) se obtiene, llamando a la función,
airy(2,x)
hold on fplot(@(x) airy(x), [-10,1]) fplot(@(x) airy(2,x), [-10,1]) hold off grid on xlabel('x') legend('Ai(x)','Bi(x)','Location','NorthWest')
Aproximaciones
hold on fplot(@(x) airy(x), [-8,4]) f=@(x) exp(-2*x.^(3/2)/3)./(2*sqrt(pi)*x.^(1/4)); %x>0 g=@(x) sin(2*(-x).^(3/2)/3+pi/4)./(sqrt(pi)*(-x).^(1/4)); %x<0 fplot(f, [0,4],'color','r') fplot(g, [-8,0],'color','r') hold off grid on xlabel('x') ylabel('y') title('Ai(x) y su aproximación')
hold on fplot(@(x) airy(2,x), [-8,2]) f=@(x) exp(2*x.^(3/2)/3)./(sqrt(pi)*x.^(1/4)); %x>0 g=@(x) cos(2*(-x).^(3/2)/3+pi/4)./(sqrt(pi)*(-x).^(1/4)); %x<0 fplot(f, [0,2],'color','r') fplot(g, [-8,0],'color','r') hold off grid on xlabel('x') ylabel('y') title('Bi(x) y su aproximación')
Derivadas
Las derivadas de Ai(x) y Bi(x) son
- La derivada Ai'(x) se obtiene, llamando a la función MATLAB,
airy(1,x) - La derivada Bi'(x) se obtiene, llamando a la función,
airy(3,x)
hold on fplot(@(x) airy(1,x), [-5,2]) %derivada Ai(x) fplot(@(x) airy(3,x), [-5,2]) %derivada Bi(x) hold off grid on xlabel('x') legend('Ai(x)','Bi(x)','Location','best')
Propiedades
Algunas propiedades de las funciones de Airy son
Relación
Utilizando Math Symbolic no obtenemos el resultado esperado
>> syms x; >> airy(0,x)*airy(3,x)-airy(2,x)*airy(1,x) ans =airy(0, x)*airy(3, x) - airy(1, x)*airy(2, x)
Comprobamos la relación con cualquier valor de la variable x, por ejemplo
>> x=[0.5,-1,-2.3]; >> airy(0, x).*airy(3, x) - airy(1, x).*airy(2, x) ans = 0.3183 0.3183 0.3183 >> 1/pi ans = 0.3183
Integral
Math Symbolic nos da el resultado
>> syms x a; >> int(airy(x)^2,a,inf) ans =airy(1, a)^2 - a*airy(0, a)^2
Relaciones entre las funciones de Airy y Bessel
Las funciones de Airy y de Bessel están relacionadas del siguiente modo
Ai(x)

x<0
hold on fplot(@(x) airy(x), [-10,0]) fplot(@(x) sqrt(-x).*(besselj(1/3,2*(-x).^(3/2)/3)+ besselj(-1/3,2*(-x).^(3/2)/3))/3, [-10,0]) hold off grid on xlabel('x') ylabel('Ai(x)') title('Función Ai(x)')
